Web Press
It is becoming crucial to have your content live and current on multiple Internet outlets, not just your official website. If you're missing these alternative platforms, you're missing countless press opportunities.

A recent study by PR firm Bennett & Co., found that one in four journalist read five or more blogs, and 70% follow at least one blog regularly. Twenty eight percent visit a social media or networking site at least weekly, and more than 44 percent visit one at least monthly.

Another study done by the Euro RSCG Magnet Survey of the Media, done in partnership with Columbia University, found that 51% of journalists use web blogs regularly--with 28% relying on them for day-to-day reporting; and 33% using blogs as a way of uncovering breaking news or scandals.

The line between the Internet and the "real world" is vanishing. A large and increasing number of reporters are turning to the blogsphere for stories. Campaigns that continue to ignore this emerging trend will miss out; those that seize the potential it presents will gain countless press opportunities.
